Rugby has been played on Cyprus by soldiers of British armed forces since 1950. In 2003, a nation team was established in Cyprus paphos by a group of English and South African. In 2004, after the success of England in Rugby word cup. Limassol crusaders team was born, Followed by Nicosia Barbarians shortly.
These all teams joined British bases team league to allow bursting competitive play.

Ay Nik stages RFC
The Ay Nik stages RFC are placed on the eastern side of the north Cyprus, near to the city of Famagusta. The Ay Nik stage RFC was organize and setup in 1947 by British military soldiers living on the Cyprus, and has been going well-built ever since.
Limassol Crusaders 2004
February 2004 was the first aggressive competitive fixture against papshos, Limassol crusader 2004 club have been continuously improved, after becoming a member of off join service rugby. Along of Nicosia and paphos, the limasssol were invited to participate in the season league 2004/2005.
Nicosia Barbarians
The barbarians Nicosia RFC was established during the winter period of 2003 by a group of Expatriates keen. This team has been successfully completed in joint service Rugby Union football league.
Cyprus Tiger RFC
Paphos Tiger RFC was started in 2003 and the first Rugby club of North Cyprus, situated in paphos, club was established by a group of EX-pat British and South African players. The club has 30 players, but club always looking new and talented player, or former player.
